The 5th Reading Marathon

In cooperation with Clinica Dental Center & Takween Bookstore, Boubyan Bank organized the Charitable Reading Marathon at 360 Mall for the fifth time, as a part of the bank’s continued support to cultural and creative activities which contribute to serving the society.

The idea of the marathon was that Boubyan Bank and Clinica will donate KD 1 for each 10 pages read by any of the visitors of the mall during the 12-hour marathon to help educate students with financial difficulties hindering them from getting the proper education due to their weak financial abilities.

In this session, the marathon succeeded in attracting 1326 readers, who read 72,030 pages. 

The marathon has been a success over its past four sessions during the past year and contributed to the education of more than 170 students by collecting their tuition fees as a result of the participation of more than two thousand readers who read 55,000 pages approximately.
