In November of each year, we celebrate a new year since the establishment of Boubyan Bank, which managed to prove itself and its competiveness in addition to making many achievements in a short period, allowing it to acquire a good market share despite the continued competition. 

This year’s anniversary coincides with the Covid-19 pandemic the world and Kuwait are going through; the very pandemic which changed a lot of our usual concepts and behaviors, and this will have long-term effects on many aspects of our lives.

Thanks to Almighty Allah, we managed to deal with this crisis professionally, especially at the customer service level during the partial curfew and the total lockdown periods thanks to our investment in digital banking services, which reaped its fruit by meeting the various needs of our customers to the extent that they did not feel any lack of the services they used to get. 

During the past period of this year, we managed to continue our profitability despite the decline, compared to the comparable period of last year, as a result of continuing the bank’s prudent policy by allocating provisions as a precautionary measure to face the repercussions of the Covid-19 crisis.

Moreover, we have laid the foundation stone of our new Boubyan Bank headquarters, and construction has already started. We expect the building to be ready within 4 years to bring about all Boubyan family under one roof. 

On this occasion, I am pleased to thank all our shareholders and customers for their continuous support to us, and would also love to thank our employees who have contributed to our successful journey, which would not have been successful without their ceaseless efforts. 

Finally, I implore Almighty Allah to continue blessing us with good health, safety and security under the wise leadership of H.H. the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and his Crown Prince, H.H. Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
