Abdulaziz Al-Shaya Elected Chairman of Boubyan Bank by Acclamation

Boubyan Bank has announced the election of Mr. Abdulaziz Abdullah Dakheel Al-Shaya as Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors by acclamation, to succeed late Mr. Mahmoud Yousef Al-Fulaij, who passed away in the past week.

As per the usual procedures in these circumstances, the bank has announced last week the admission of Mr. Fahad Ahmad Al Fouzan to the bank’s board of directors, being the first substitute member during the last elections, while the board of directors has convened this Sunday and selected Al-Shaya as Chairman.

Al-Shaya joined Boubyan Bank’s Board of Directors in 2009, and he has 40+ years of experience in trading and real estate sectors as he manages one of the most renowned trading companies. 

As for Mr. Al-Fouzan, he has more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector, where he served in Boubyan Bank's executive management in 2012, and occupied a GM position until his resignation in 2015 in addition to his banking experience with NBK and KIB.
